The Annual Fund 2019

Contribute to the 2019 Annual Fund

At the 1719 William Trent House Museum, we don’t just preserve history; we don’t just interpret history. We uncover history. And on the eve of the Trent House Tercentenary, you have the opportunity to make history and be a part of the Museum’s legacy.

2019 marks the 300th anniversary of the construction of the House, and the Trent House Association has established an ambitious goal: 300 donors giving $300 apiece. For your donation of $300, an engraved brick paver in your name or the name of your honoree will be installed at the main entrance to the Visitor Center.

The Trent House Association is using the opportunity of the 300th anniversary to pursue some high-profile projects that could have a major impact on what is known about early New Jersey Colonial history.

We are in the forefront with other local institutions of expanding research and interpretation on slavery in the northern colonies. We are researching the lives of the Trent House residents who lived there subsequent to William Trent and incorporating that information into specialized tours. But most exciting of all, we believe that Ground Penetrating Radar has discovered the foundation of Mahlon Stacy’s house. Stacy, along with a few other Quakers, was the first to settle at “Ye ffalles of ye De La Warr,” the Falls of the Delaware, in 1679. Your contribution will help the Trent House Association to continue our exploration in all of these areas and more.

As always, we are grateful for donations of any amount and will acknowledge your donation in our publications.

Thank you for your support,

Carolyn Stetson, President
