Have you ever wondered what was under those elaborate dresses that wealthy women wore in the 18th century?

On display in Mrs. Trent’s bedroom are examples of the layers of clothing – shift, stays, panniers, pocket – that Nanny would have helped her put on. While in that room, also learn about the make-up that both men and women wore in the 1700’s to make their faces fashionably pale, but at risk to their health.
